An interesting fact about the city of Cusco, Peru is that it has the highest level of ultraviolet light IN THE WORLD. UV light is the part of radiation that the Earth receives from the rays of the Sun. Everyone has experienced it at one time or another and is aware of the consequences when painful sunburn can be the unfortunate outcome with too much sun exposure and not enough sunscreen. Make sure to carry some good sunblock. SPF 15 or SPF 30 will keep you safe when trekking through the city and in the surrounding mountains.
