Never been to spain either, but I´ve been to Merida, Yucatan mexico to Viva language school and have noticed that quite a lot of people still speak maya in the region. Very interesting and shocking to see. I highly recommend this city for keeping their strong mayan roots.

Never been to Spain but would love to go sometime. It's crazy to see how different the dialects are. I've traveled a bit around South America and speak some Spanish, but have trouble with the different accents sometimes. Cool to see the history of it all.
